Multi-Sensory Workshop

Some of our children from our Autism Classes attended a multi-sensory theatre experience recently. Heather Rose a local theatre producer and theatre artist Ben Lucent created a wonderful "Teddy Play, interactive experience." This multi-sensory theatre show was a wonderful experience for our students. The children thoroughly enjoyed the performance, and the small, intimate group setting created a calm and engaging environment that really suited their needs. The organisers brought a fantastic range of resources, which were thoughtfully used throughout to support understanding and participation. The storyline and overall concept of the show were very well pitched, capturing the children’s interest from beginning to end. Each element of the performance was carefully designed to meet the children’s sensory needs, engaging all of their senses in a meaningful and enjoyable way.  Thank you to Ballina Arts Centre and Rose Producing for offering this show to our children
