Located on the outskirts of Ballina town in County Mayo, Rehins National School is a mixed Catholic primary school that prides itself on being an inclusive, warm and welcoming community where every child is encouraged to thrive. Our school is a place of vibrant learning

At the heart of our school is our beautiful Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASL) unit, which a calm and enriching space for children with additional needs The unit features a state-of the-art sensory room. several quiet rooms, a nurturing room, and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking with the children, ensuring that every Childs unique needs are met with care

and understanding.

Rehins National School is proud to be at the forefront of technology In education. With more than 60 Chromebooks and G Suite accounts for every child our pupils are proficient in G Suite applications and benefit from a robust Information and Communications Technology (ICT)

programme.  We also incorporate film technology and artificial intelligence into the classroom, where children learn to create short movies to showcase their work. Our focus on STEM education is further enhanced by opportunities in robotics, 3D printing, and innovative

problem-solving activities that spark curiosity and creativity.

 

We are deeply committed to physical education, guided by the PDST Move Well, Move Often programme, which promotes inclusion and develops physical literacy and fundamental movement skills. Our facilities include an astro-pitch, multiple outdoor play areas. and a school garden and polytunnel for outdoor learning experiences. Students participate in a range of sports, including football. hurling, cycling, basketball, swimming and gymnastics, fostering teamwork and healthy living.

Biodiversity and environmental awareness are integral to our school ethos. Our outdoor learning spaces inspire children to engage with nature, while projects in our garden and polytunnel teach

sustainability and the importance of caring for the planet.
